I went on to build a long and dedicated career as a truck driver, working in the industry for 25 years before retiring in 2024. During my career, I was also widely known by my road name, “Chicken Man.”
In 2013, I fulfilled a lifelong dream by starting my own trucking company with my wife, Dezronn Express LLC.
I was deeply committed to education and personal growth. I attended Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC), where I earned an Associate of Applied Science in Process Technology in 2012. I later returned to BRCC and earned an Associate of Liberal Arts degree in 2024.
Continuing my educational journey, I enrolled at Louisiana State University (LSU), where I was on track to graduate in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Sociology.
I was baptized at an early age. Later in life, I rededicated my life to Christ and was rebaptized in the year 2000 under the leadership of the late Rev. Dan Alexander at New Prospect Baptist Church

On June 28, 1997, I married the love of my life, Desiree H. Reese. From this union came one beautiful daughter, La ‘Sha Reese, and a beloved granddaughter, London Dunn. Sanchez Williams whom I reared as a child.
I was a loving and devoted husband who truly cherished spending time with my wife. I enjoyed meaningful conversations, sharing stories, laughter, and wisdom. I also loved traveling and experiencing new places, creating lasting memories.
As a father, I took great pride in guiding and supporting my daughter. I believed strongly in teaching life lessons, offering advice, and encouraging her to always work hard, stay strong in her faith, and pursue her goals. I was the kind of father who was always ready to listen, share wisdom, and help point the way when guidance was needed. My words of encouragement and lessons about life, responsibility, and perseverance will forever remain in the hearts of those I loved.
I was also an extremely proud and loving grandfather who found great joy in his granddaughter. I loved spoiling her and making sure she felt special every time we were together. One of my favorite things was letting her ride along with me on the riding lawnmower and watching her laugh and enjoy the moment. I loved seeing her jump around, play, and simply be a happy child. Those simple but precious moments brought me great happiness and will forever be cherished memories for my family.
I was also a caring and supportive uncle who offered guidance, laughter, and love to my family. My warm spirit, wise counsel, and caring heart made me naturally turned to for advice, comfort, and encouragement.
My love for my family was evident in everything I did. I pray I will always be remembered for my strength, kindness, wisdom, and the deep love I shared with those closest to him.
