Forest Tyler Lyman
Tyler was born and raised in Escalante, and had no intention on ever leaving his home. He loved to ranch and farm and found peace in listening to the cows in the field. He took pride in all that he did. If it wasn't done right, there was no need to do it at all. He "worked" all his life but to him, it wasn't work. He never sat around, never had idle hands. He could build anything, and was an inventor of all kinds of contraptions to make farm life easier. Tyler loved his family, but really loved his grandkids. He always had a grandkid in tow and made sure they were taught the farm life. They learned the same love of animals that he had. Tyler always had dogs, and Daisy and Woofie are lost without him. Every year, he had a pet cow, he never named them, but they would come up and get a scratch and a treat when they'd see him. He even raised buffalo for awhile, which was very interesting and scary at times. Tyler left us too soon. He was disappointed when he found out he was sick, it was almost impossible for him to imagine leaving his family and friends. His passing has left a hole in the hearts of those that loved him and he is missed every single day.
