Jorge Sanchez

Jorge was born on April 27th, 1988, in Villachuato, Mexico. He was the youngest of four children born to Arturo and Maria “Ines” (Regalado) Sanchez. Jorge grew up in Mexico until the age of 9 when his family moved to the United States. Jorge graduated from Marshalltown High School with the class of 2006. Jorge attended AIB College of Business for a short time where he met Chelsea. Although they later divorced, they were blessed with two children, Jorge Connor (2011) and Elsa Isabel (2015). They loved to travel, nowhere was too far. From Dominican Republic to Mexico to watching his son’s baseball games in Iowa City. His kids were his biggest pride and joy. During Jorge’s 12+ years with Manatts he was recognized on multiple occasions including by the DOT of Iowa for his outstanding concrete. Jorge took his experience and skills to start his own business, VTO Concrete. He successfully operated and ran his business up until his death. Jorge was known for his love and passion for the NFL but mostly for his team, America’s team, the COWBOYS. He will forever be remembered quoting the fanbases’ favorite line, “This is our year.” Jorge would tribute his love of Budweiser to his ex-father-in-law, Dave. Those two could sit and talk farm life over a “couple” of beers for hours. Jorge enjoyed spending his free time with family and friends. Especially his dear friend Sean Collins.

Jorge is deeply missed and survived by his children, Jorge and Elsa; his parents, Arturo and Ines; his siblings, Alvaro, Violeta, and Arturo; his maternal grandparents, Ma Luz and Angel Regalado; his nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and his cousins and his many friends.

Jorge was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; his aunt; his cousin, Ernesto Sanchez; and Chelsea’s uncle, Steve Lankford.

We miss him so much. Not a day goes by where tears are not cried for him.
