Life story

Gabryan's presence as our son lit up our lives for 17 incredible years! He loved his brothers and being one of three brothers was part of his identity. He loved football, and loved his dogs more than he loved most people. He was a fun loving boy, who effortlessly brought smiles to everyone's faces with his quick wit and that radiant smile of his. He often spoke about becoming a firefighter and following in his dad’s footsteps but in the last few months of his life he was focused on becoming a business owner. He had developed a business plan, asked for a business loan, and purchased his equipment. He had his first two customers and said he could never again have a regular job. “I can’t have no boss” was his response when asked if he was going to look for his first job. He spent most of his time with his favorite girl and was embracing a western style because of her. Gabryan's legacy is etched in the laughter he shared, the dreams he chased, and the love he radiated. Though he left us too soon, his love continues to echo in the memories of those beautiful 17 years!

Gabe

This photo was taken while we were on our way to watch my sister do her first half-marathon. It was raining all morning and I thought he looked cute so I told him to pose. He told me no cause it was raining and his hair looked terrible, typical Gabryan always worried about his hair. This was the best photo I could get of him, never mind the fact that this is the only photo I have of him smiling! This guy does not smile, ever! But to know that I have this memory to look back on is everything. So whenever you feel the urge to take a photo, do it. These become memories and moments in time to reflect on. Especially when times are hard. I love you, gabe; and I miss you with my whole heart!
