Life story

Judith Ann Blair passed peacefully from this life on February 23, 2026, at the age of 83. Judy was born an only child to Earnest and Jasmine Rill on October 5, 1942, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Judy was a loving wife, mother, JiJi, Great JiJi and loyal friend, whose life was lived with laughter, service, and a deep love for God and family.

Judy graduated from Charles Page High School in 1960, after which she attended Southwestern College in Waxahachie Texas, where she met the love of her life, Frank Blair. Judy and Frank met in a funny way. She was on a date with her boyfriend at the time. Frank joined them to attend a concert. On the lengthy drive home, her boyfriend fell asleep and she and Frank shared good conversation and laughter. That conversation led to a lifelong love story. Judy married Frank on October 26, 1962. Together, they spent 62 years building a life with laughter, love and adventure.

Judy and Frank raised two boys who were the light of her life, that is until her grandchildren came. She often said there wasn’t a love that compared to that of being a grandmother. She adamantly did not want to be called “Grandma”. So, the day Travers and Preston said “JiJi” instead of Judy, she happily grabbed onto her new title and wore it proudly. That day she became JiJi to everyone, but most importantly to her grandchildren. It was definitely her most favorite title of all.

Judy was a devoted, lifelong member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God, serving in many roles, including Church Secretary, directing and collaborating productions, leading the Golden Thread Senior Group, or organizing gatherings and parties and bringing people together in fellowship and joy. Judy was an incredibly talented musician, playing the organ for over 40 years. Music was one of her greatest joys and forms of ministry.

Judy had a remarkable gift for making everything beautiful. She loved decorating for weddings and holidays and had a special touch that made every event feel elegant and welcoming. Her home was a reflection of her creativity. She was known for frequently rearranging furniture to make things “just right". Frank had a running joke that he couldn’t go to bed without a light on because he never knew where the furniture would be in the morning. This came after falling over the couch that Judy had thoughtfully repositioned during the night.

Judy was a fashionista with a great sense of style. She was never seen without her makeup perfectly applied and dressed to the nines always presenting her very best for family and friends. Judy was sassy, silly, loving, kind, and had a fire for life that truly matched her fiery red hair. She was always up for a fun time gathering with friends and family and could always find something to laugh about. If there was an opportunity to celebrate, decorate or create community, Judy was all in. She loved the Lord with a servant’s heart, and had a gift for making others feel special, welcome and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Jasmine, and her loving husband, Frank.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Blair and his wife Doni, and Christopher Todd Blair and his wife, Shontelle; grandchildren, Travers, Preston, Rachel, Madelyn, Brittni, Cayden, Trey, and Jacob; and great grandchildren, Pierce, Levi, Kyndal, Morgan, Jaxxon, and Everly Rose.

Judy will be remembered for her elegance, creativity, faithfulness, and the love she poured into her family, church, and friends. Her legacy of beauty, laughter, and devotion will live on through all who knew her.
