Casey Johnathan Sjoberg
"May your roads be wide, your skies be clear, and your engine roar forever in heaven."
Casey was feisty from the very beginning-born 10 weeks early weighing only 2lbs15oz-he fought hard to thrive! He was the sweetest baby, I can still remember the day he came home. He was so loved by 5 big siblings and mom and dad. He grew and grew (probably all that nesquick chocolate powder we put in his sippy cups of milk!) His very first car was a wooden radio flyer jeep. He would ram that thing around all day on our brick floors, doing burnouts and whipping into his parking spots as fast as his little feet would take him. I can still hear the plastic wheels on the brick. He loved being outside-building forts, making fires, playing catch. When he was around 2 or 3 we had a wood burning stove to heat our house and Casey decided he was going to stack pillows on the couch and start a fire just like dad does... He actually started the couch on fire that day and I had to throw the dishpan of water on it. We hid the matches after that day 🤪 He graduated to bigger vehicles...bikes, lawn mower, snowmobiles, 4wheelers... He was definitely a dare devil! He once got his eyebrows and the tips of his hair singed off. We all teased him about his new orange hair forever and often talked about it even when he got older. He eventually grew up and got smarter and a little safer😂 He loved being an uncle. He would take his nieces and nephews out to play or give them rides. He especially loved showing off his cars and getting out his RC cars for all of them to drive. Ohhh how they all loved him, too. Uncle Casey was the best!
He was such an amazing brother-I remember taking him when he was just a little guy and getting pulled over...he was so cute he got me out of my first speeding ticket! Yeah yeah he would tell you it was because I cried to the cop but we know it was because he was cute 😍 I'd take that kid everywhere with me and he'd happily tag along-that is the cool thing about having a sibling 10 years younger! He was the happiest kid. We all miss him so much but I'm thankful for all the memories we have of him that keep us smiling and laughing. I read that 10 years on Earth is like 1 hour in Heaven, so we'll see you really soon, buddy. Shine up those wheels, I'm waiting for a ride in a really loud car!
We love you so much.
