Life story

Isaiah H. Smith

March 25, 2002 – January 31, 2025

Isaiah was a force — stubborn fire and soft heart wrapped into one unforgettable soul. He came into this world a bright, light‑haired baby boy and grew into a man who loved deeply, laughed loudly, and carried more weight than he ever deserved. He was complicated in the most human way, but he loved with a loyalty that never wavered.

He was a father, and he leaves behind a sweet baby girl, Rayah. She carries pieces of him — his eyes, his expressions, that spark that feels familiar. She is a reminder that his story continues in ways that live on through her.

He was a brother who protected, teased, and loved in that fierce way only siblings understand. Brandon, Victor, Micah, Bella, Aiden, and Caileigh each carry a different piece of him — the jokes, the music, the stubbornness, the heart. Every one of them was part of his story, and he was part of theirs.

Isaiah also found deep, steady love in the rest of his family. His cousins were some of his closest friends — the people he laughed with, leaned on, and grew up beside. His aunts and uncles showed up for him with guidance, humor, and the kind of support only extended family can give. His grandparents gave him roots, comfort, and connection. These relationships shaped him just as much as he shaped them.

He was a son to four parents who loved him fiercely: Mandi, Brian, Samantha, and Charlie. And he was a friend to so many who saw the humor, the talent, the softness, and the fire that made him who he was.

Isaiah lived loud. He played guitar like it was a language only he could speak. He cracked jokes at the worst possible moments. He cared about people even when he didn’t always know how to care for himself. He was imperfect, emotional, honest, and real — and that’s exactly why he was loved so deeply.

His story didn’t end the way it should have, but his impact didn’t end at all. He is remembered in every laugh that sounds like his, every song that feels like him, every moment his daughter smiles, every memory his family holds tight.

Isaiah was — and will always be — a beloved dad, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.

A beautiful, complicated, irreplaceable human being.

My Sweet Boy

My sweet Isaiah… From the moment I first held you, I knew my life had changed forever. You were my boy, my heart, my constant reminder that love can be loud and gentle at the same time. Losing you is a pain I carry in every breath, a weight that never truly lifts, but I carry it because it’s tied to you — and I will always carry you. You filled our world with music, laughter, stubborn strength, and that soft side you tried so hard to hide. You had a way of walking into a room and shifting the whole energy without saying a word. You were light, even on your darkest days. I miss the everyday things the most — your voice, your hugs, your jokes, the way you could make me smile even when I didn’t want to. I miss the future you should still be living. I miss the pieces of myself that left with you. But your love didn’t disappear. It lives in the stories we tell, the memories that hit out of nowhere, the pictures I hold onto like lifelines. It lives in the way I keep going, even when it hurts, because you deserve to be remembered with truth and love. Isaiah, my boy… You are forever mine. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever here, in the deepest part of me
