Martha Halford Oakman
A memorial service will be held for Martha Halford Oakman at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Riverwood Family. Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2026, at Riverwood Family.
Martha Halford Oakman, 73, of Clinton, MS, passed away March 11, 2026, at HaloHavens in Brookhaven, MS. She was born in Meadville, MS, on May 23, 1952, to Aaron Thomas “Bully” Halford and Grace Helen Bonds Halford.
Ms. Oakman was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton, MS. She enjoyed traveling. She loved all animals, especially her pet dogs.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Walter Lee Oakman; brothers, Larry L. “Skeeter” Halford and Bud Halford; and nephew, Trey Cochran.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Johnny Halford (Cheryl); sisters, Alma Cochran and Debbie Adams (Randy); sister in law, Debbie Bankston Halford; nieces, Kristi Hester (Eddie), Brandi Hollingsworth (Alex), and Holli Pepper (Will); nephews, Thomas Cochran, Jake Adams (Morgan), and Justin Halford; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at HaloHavens, the hospice teams, and her caregivers for their compassionate care.
