Bill V Terry

He was born at Lackey, KY on May 2. 1947 to Bethel Terry and Arda Lou Robinson Terry.

Bill graduated from Hindman High School in 1965 and from their went on to Alice Lloyd College and the University of

Kentucky. After graduating from University of Kentucky

he married the love of his life, Nancy Roop and they continued their education at Morehead University. They then

moved to Greenville, Ohio where they both taught. Bill taught Biology and coached basketball there. Later they

moved back to KY and he taught at Hindman High School for 1 year and coached basketball and baseball.

After a short return back to Ohio, they moved back to KY and he became Athletic Director at Knott County Central

High School. Bill was a big influence in the development of girls sports and other sports in Knott County.

He became director of Knott/Letcher/Perry Independent Coal Operator's Association. He lobbied for the coal industry

of Knott/Letcher/Perry in Frankfort. This lead Bill

to begin working in the insurance business to help coal operators and he later became co-founder of Premier

Insurance Managers, where he worked the remainder of his life.

He enjoyed mentoring young adults. He loved his family very much. He loved spending time with his daughter, Ty

and her husband John, and his granddaughters, Peyton and Parker.

He was a faithful member of Montgomery Baptist Church and he loved the Lord.
