A letter for the best Grandpa 🤍

hi, for those of you who don’t know who I am, my name is Lacey I’m one of Amado granddaughter. My grandpa was truly the heart of our family. He showed up for everything—every big moment, every small gathering—always dressed to impress, with that big, warm smile, ready to love and support us all. Because of him, I get to be part of this big, beautiful, loving family, and I will forever be grateful for that. This loss is enormous. It’s the kind of loss that doesn’t go away—it’s one we’ll carry with us for a lifetime. But I know my grandpa wouldn’t want us to stop showing up for each other. He’d want us to honor him by continuing to love, support, and stand by one another, just like he always did. I want to share one of my favorite memories of him. One New Year’s Eve, we took Grandpa to the club with us. We danced all night, and at one point we took a bathroom break and realized we’d lost him. We went looking—and of course, there he was on the dance floor, doing karate moves without a care in the world. That was Grandpa. To me, he was the perfect mix of Bruce Lee and George Strait—strength, confidence, and a whole lot of cowboy charm. I’ll spend the rest of my life honoring you, Grandpa. I’ll keep telling the world that I had the best grandpa on earth, and now in heaven. I love you so much, old man. 🤍
