Life story

We celebrated the life of my beautiful, vibrant, big-hearted, fun-loving, generous, strong, courageous and much loved Diane.

For you sweets,

I hope you have felt our gratitude for you and your life in your heart, and may a sense of peace overwhelm your soul.

I hope you bask in the unconditional love that surrounds you, with a gentle smile resting on your cheeks.

To reflect on the many blessings of your lifetime, and the ones that will continue to bloom beyond your time…. Is what we will constantly do.

A family and a legacy that you have built, created, given life to and nurtured.

People who sit beside us today in honor of all that you have been to them and given.

Those who have passed before you, so graciously watch over and hold you in safety and a guiding light.

Friends, grandchildren, your husband, daughters and sons.

Family beyond blood who all love and care for you deeply.

Holding you in love, now and for always.

Your presence is felt, widely known,

And will not soon be forgotten.

Remembered through

tradition,

Prayer,

Dreams,

Recipes,

Conversations and one liners.

Jewelry and perfumes,

Hand written notes,

Photos,

& unforgettable memories.

Your presence will be carried on through dad’s love for you.

Your smile will live on in your children’s children.

Your bravery as you went through this cancer journey will be remembered and borrowed by those who need it most.

Your wisdom past on for generations.

Your memory stored in the hearts of all those who know and love you.

Most importantly you will be felt every time anyone sits down and smells a good meal cooking- pot roast on Sunday, dressing that no one will ever know how to make right because you cooked by taste, pot pies, fried pork chops, goolosh, fried chicken, home-made cakes and pies…. I can smell it now…. This is how you showed us love.

May you find the utmost peace as you face what is the ultimate future for all of us in the living world.

Let us Cherish these beautiful moments in reflection of a fulfilling life story.

A joyful celebration of your journey in its entirety.

The places you have traveled far and wide

The waters that you’ve swam (even when you didn’t want to).

The mountains that you’ve climbed , the dances we all shared in a barn somewhere in Mexico while making guacamole.

The mud trails you have blazed with dad…. He calls it the worst day of his life as a joke to me…. But I venture to say it will be part of his treasured memories.

Boat trips, airplanes, bicycles, golf carts and car rides…. The many car rides…. The many rides listening to anita get motion sick.

You did it all with fabulous style!

In the margaritas you and I have sipped, tea poured, shared and savored through many occasions….

Laughter and celebrations that have filled the walls of every room we have shared with you.

The dogs that you’ve loved, hand fed and given a good home.

The jewels that you’ve been adorned with in the name of LOVE.

The lives that you’ve touched.

The rooms that you’ve impacted with your beautiful happy smile.

The many magical moments that you’ve shared with your family.

The special memories that will last lifetimes…

Because of you,

What you’ve created and what you’ve chosen to share with the world…

All simply by being YOU.

A mom, a wife , a best friend, a sister, cousin, Nanny, momma Diane, sweets …a fighter, a believer, an inspiration to us all…. Our forever angel.

You will be remembered for your strength, your generosity, your big/strong heart, your resourcefulness, your loyalty, your grace, grit and glam and the many meals you have shared with each person in this room.

Cherished deeply,

Missed daily.

And loved…so loved

Forever and always.

Now

You are safe,

You are strong,

You are loved,

You are free.

I know God heard YOU coming

Rest sweetly, dear one.

We will always love you.
