Dawn Marie Chalmers
I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, forever and always your babies we'll be.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dawn Marie Harris (Chalmers), a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who left this world peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family.
She was 67 years old, born on August 6, 1958, in Manhattan, KS. She lived in Denison, KS as a child and the remainder of her life in Topeka, KS. Daughter of Merle and Anna Chalmers, she grew up with a spirit full of love, warmth, kindness, and compassion.
She took immense pride in her children and grandchildren, finding joy in every accomplishment and comfort in every shared moment. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the kindness she modeled, and her ability to love unconditionally.
She is survived by her mother Anna Chalmers, her three children Jamie (Libby) Lamberson, Mandi Lamberson and Megan (Tracy) Blocker; grandchildren, Lexi, Annie and Everly Lamberson; and her siblings Karen (Jim) Chance, Connie (Brad) Ridgeway, and Mark (Angie) Chalmers, who will continue to live out her example of love and grace.
Dawn was a member of the Fairlawn Nazarene Church.
Dawn’s wishes were for cremation. Interment of the cremated remains will be at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka, KS. A Celebration of her life is being planned for the spring of 2026.
