‘He aha te mea nui o te ao’ he tangata, he tangata, he tangata Translates to what is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people’.
Life story

When God created man, he created a heart to love and arms to extend. He created a voice to speak and legs to walk. And for every journey we take, there is a beginning and there is an end.

Your love encompassed all and by extension your hands blessed the whosoever. You spoke Jesus in every conversation and walked by faith. Your journey on this earth may have ended but your memory is carried in every journey we now begin.

Your legacy is not in what you left behind but found in each of the lives you impacted along the way. We miss you with every sunrise and will see you again when our sun sets. Until that glorious day, we’ll see you in the morning 🤍

Love you my papa - Sia

My Dad 💖

Today I took a trip with some of the sibs 🥰 we stopped at secondhand shops and talked about all of the random places you loved to stop at. We ate some yummy food, just like you loved. We just came out of your conference, Try Jesus, and I found myself screaming 'YESSSS' during songs and had to giggle to myself at how that was so much like you. I know you would be smiling from ear to ear at how our family is still carrying on your legacy. I see glimpses of you running, screaming, and worshiping in church, and it brings me so much joy. I'm happy that was the dad I had, a dad that loved his family and loved Jesus. Me lovem u tumas Pa 🫶🏾

Favourite Grandchild

Almost 2 years have gone by, yet the knowledge that you are not physically here has not caught up with time. It seems it continues to outrun reality. I stay surrounded by our family, constantly reminiscing over the years you were present, your name and all that is you always lingering never leaving an ounce untouched where you are not in it. You’re everywhere, I see you in the waterfalls and the sea, in the limitless sky and everything that falls in between. So you’re never far from my mind always leaving a hint of a smile even after all of this time. I will always miss you. That saying of how time heals is true, but only if you allow it to. So 2 years and counting, but even after all this time it still feels like nothing is missing. I love you x

Filipino Grandchild

Pastor Peter my Kiwi Papa is a loving, caring , strong, hardworking man of God. He always had the time to care and ask how I was? or if I’m doing alright? He always had time to speak words of wisdom into my life and give advice whenever I needed answers to my questions. When possible he always made time for me to go fishing with him. All though we hardly catch anything 🥲 he was always willing to give me his rod to reel in the fish he caught. He was a crazy driver who was confident in his driving skills , even willing to risk our lives just to show off his skills 🥴. Although I felt scared and living on the edge with him at times, eventually I knew and understood I can be rest assured that I can trust and depend in Papa. He always bought us Pies with his stash of coins in his car and took us on adventures we Filipno’s never get to experience. He showed us how to ride motorcycles and quad bikes, how to take baths in random swimming holes when he felt like it 🫠, aswell as how to be comfortable in taking showers in the public local pools 🌚. Anyways Papa I look forward to being with you again praising and worshiping along side you in heaven. See you in the morning😎☀️ Love you my Kiwi Papa❤️❤️❤️

Dad

Dad was a man of many talents. He loved people from all walks of life and taught us to serve people and God. He was so proud of his whanau and celebrated many achievements with us all. He lived life in full glorious colour and wore his heart on his sleeve. He was called ‘the crying preacher’ as he would cry as he spoke. Dad loved to share about Gods word and it's transforming power. As our dad he showed us how to love and serve with excellence. He created a great legacy for us to carry on. We know he is happy In heaven sitting with all the angels, and his loved ones. To me you were “simply the best, better than all the rest. Till that great day we look forward to meeting again. Much love Dad xx
