Jacob was a devoted gardener and culinary enthusiast. He found solace among his flowerbeds and joy in the kitchen where his green thumb and culinary skills brought happiness to many. Jacob held a deep and unwavering love for his family, their happiness and well-being were always his top priority. His gardening, cooking, baking, and above all, his presence will be deeply missed.

Magnolias in Bloom
The magnolias have bloomed the last few weeks. We got one magnolia tree from Taunt Gwen and Tio Carl, and another from cousin Melise after Jake's passing. This was the first time that one has bloomed since planting it. One I named Marshall and the other Maggie 🤣 Jake would have named his plants too.

Jake, we are all on vacation this week and I’m sure that we have all thought about what would Jake be doing here? You would love to search for rocks and arrowheads here. Dad has been looking for them. You would have baked us some amazing desserts. Every day we see you in things that we do. We miss you so much.

One year. One year of not seeing your face or hearing your voice. As I sit here in tears my heart is full of peace knowing you are so free and healthy right now walking along the side of our Lord. I bought a new plant, an Easter Lilly. You know I always went to you for plant help LOL so let’s hope I can keep this thriving!! Dad has your orchards looking soooo good!!! One year has gone by 😔 We miss you so much. Looking at pics and videos the last few days. I love hearing your voice. The kids swam this weekend...dad let them lol. Dexter cooked and we spent the day together. We grieve still but find comfort in knowing you are living in God's glory. Happy One Year Heaven Anniversary my son ❤️

Dreaming of you
I had a dream last night that Jake was in. Family was around for a wedding coming up. Taunt Gwen was describing an upcoming trip and had brought a gravy to pack and bring with them. Jake took out a small blender and began blending the gravy to make it thicker because he said it wasn't right. I looked at Taunt Gwen and said "that's Jake doing Jake things!" We smiled and just understood and let him do. I would love to have Jake here just letting him do and be himself. I miss you Bubba!

We are missing you this week Jake. It's Wednesday, the day of food prep for Mom, lol! She is in the kitchen like a champ, no doubt remembering the times you helped every Thanksgiving with her list of to dos. One dish is a corn maque choux for Paw Jack 😊 She is even attempting a peanut butter cake! All looks and smells good so far, I'm overseeing her 🤣 I miss and love you Bub.

Missing You
Jake had a birthday this past week. I'd imagine he would have treated it like any other day. He probably would have cooked supper for himself, Mom, and Dad (& me and Josh 😁), grilled steaks or homemade pizza. He would have worked on whatever little project he had going on -- gardening, crafting something. He would have ended the day with dessert for sure. Man we miss his homemade ice cream made out of bananas and that creamy topping that none of us can replicate! I have no doubt he spent this birthday in heaven doing the things he enjoyed. He also spent time with each of his loved ones on Earth missing him. I love you and miss you greatly Bubba.
