Robert Vernon Bushell
Robert Vernon Bushell, 72, of Farr West, Utah, returned to his Father in Heaven at his home while surrounded by his loved ones on Jan. 28, 2001. He was born Nov. 18, 1928, in Ogden, Utah, to Norma Mortenson and Gilbert Thomas Bushell. He lived his entire life in the Ogden area and spent his summers in Porterville. He was a graduate of Ogden High School.
Bob married Verlene Francis on Feb. 8, 1946. They had four daughters together and were later divorced. On Nov. 26, 1967, he married Peggy Joan Richardson in Elko, Nev. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden Temple on Dec. 5, 1975. They share four children together. After 39 years of civil service, he retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1993. Bob was an active member of the LDS church, and served positions in the bishopric, High Council, Young Men, and High Priest Group Leadership.
Bob loved to be surrounded by children and enjoyed coaching them in various sports. His favorite of all was baseball. He also loved to hunt, fish, ride horses and be in the outdoors.
His children are Rolene, Kristine, Sally, LesLee, Joan, Robert, Clay and Kimberlee.
