I Miss You

Every day I wake up to the shock that you’ve passed away. I keep your number in my phone just to pretend that you are alive . I tell myself you’re just busy and that I will see you tomorrow. I still haven’t accepted that you are not in this world anymore. I am a coward and can’t bring myself to go your grave since the burial because then I might have to accept that this is real. I’m going to try again today since it’s Mother’s Day. I show Maddy pictures and videos of you frequently because I don’t want her to forget what an amazing Nana you were. I’m so thankful for all the pictures and videos and especially the memories that they hold. I know you are looking over your family till we get there. I’ve seen you protect us. I wish I could give you a hug or hear your voice in real life until then. Meet us in Heaven. 🩷
