Brother from another mother
Bryce was a very close friend of mine and we shared a lot of crazy memories, he was there for Me in my toughest times and for the best times, I will forever remember him and our time we had together
The chorus from Brantley Gilbert’s song “the ones that like me”
The ones that need me got me
The ones that doubt me can't stop me
Even the ones that said forget him
You can bet they ain't forgot me
Either wanna hit me or hold me
Those that hate me don't know me
And the ones that don't trust anybody trust me
Yeah, the ones that like me love me
We want to remember the good about people and Bryce had a lot of good that not everyone in his world was able to see, but if you were lucky enough to see it you didn’t just like him, you loved him.
Every single message since Bryce has left us has echoed the same things: he had the biggest heart, he would do anything for anyone, and he had the most contagious smile.
Bryce was a son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew, boyfriend, friend and more … to all of those people they knew if they called on Bryce he would be there, probably late but he would pull up and when he did he would make the best of it even if he was there doing something no one wanted to do and he’d make sure everyone else was having a good time doing it too.
There has never been a time Bryce was in a room and everyone wasn’t laughing at whatever ridiculous antics he was up to. Hold those moments of Bryce closely as you move forward today and everyday because if we can all be just a little bit more like Bryce the world will be a better place. If you’re scared to do something-anything, just jump in and do it, because Bryce already would have done it 4x without thinking. Some people might call it impulsive, but what a gift to act, love, move freely and fully on whatever it is you want to do- even if you just thought of it 1 second ago.
As we grieve the life he had ahead of him, graduating from school with his auto body certificate, his future family, and all that he had to look forward to let’s also celebrate all the joy that our not so little anymore red headed wild child brought us daily, remember his smile, his hair, his intoxicating presence and that he is always there for us, watching and loving us with his entire heart because that’s the only way Bryce knew how to love.
