Life story
Bethany Sue (Norman) Stenger, born March 27, 1960, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to Marion Norman and Royal Norman. Beth was the baby of the family with two older brothers Brian & Royal Norman.
Beth grew up in Villa Park, Illinois, and in 1973, her family moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Beth’s father Royal brought the family to Omaha after accepting a job as a dental professor at Creighton University. The Norman family enjoyed going on ski trips and vacations throughout the years.
She graduated from Burke High School in 1978. After high school she started pursing her interest in the dental field like her father who was a dentist, Beth later realized she was a better fit in sales. She graduated from Bellevue with a bachelor's degree in business in 1990. She later went on to obtain her master’s from Bellevue in 2019.
Throughout her career, Beth worked in sales, with her most recent position being with the Nebraska Lottery (IGT). Her professional life was marked by dedication and a drive to succeed, qualities that were evident in all her endeavors. She loved her customers and made friends with a lot of people along the way.
Beth married Richard Dean Stenger, and together they had three children. Chase N Stenger & Dylan A Stenger (08/07/96) Cassidy R Stenger (08/01/97). Dylan was born an angel. Though her and Richard later separated in the early 2000’s. She found lasting companionship and love with her significant other, Bob Chunn, with whom she spent the rest of her life. Bob and her loved going on trips and dancing. They spent many years together enjoying life.
Beth fought cancer for 9 years unknowingly to a lot of people. She never wanted anyone to look at her differently or treat her differently. She believed in miracles, she had hope.
Beth had big dreams and goals, including recently achieving her life coach certificate in March of 2024. She also had her health coach certification as well. She was eagerly looking forward to retirement and spending more time with her family, taking trips, and embarking on new adventures. She was hoping to take her kids and family to the beach in March of 2025 to celebrate retirement.
Beth enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her dog Maddie. She loved working out and taking Maddie for walks. She wouldn’t say it herself, but her special talent was interior design. I always had the cutest bedrooms growing up.
Beth's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a loving mother, a devoted partner, and a cherished friend. Her positive energy, kindness, and determination will continue to inspire those she left behind.
Rest in peace, Beth. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
