Life story

Putting a life into words is never easy, but to let this life pass without tribute would be impossible. Ivan Seth Ermenc was a light in this world. His sharp wit, incessant curiosity, and clever humor were a trademark, but his kind and caring heart was the strong steady current flowing just below the surface. He was musically inclined, passionate about all things Japanese, was an excellent artist, and wasn't afraid to get dirty and work hard or play hard—whenever the occasion called for it. He worked to excel in the things that interested him and his dedication was rewarded.

From the time Ivan entered our world on August 6, 2004, he was unapologetically Ivan and he accepted everyone for who they were and how they were. Although his life wasn’t nearly as long as those who loved him felt it should be, he lived it well, and he left a lasting impression in the lives he touched. He entered the next chapter of his life on November 2, 2022.

He is loved by so many, his parents, Tiffany and Jeremiah Ermenc; along with his brothers, Rally, Michael, and Taylor, will miss him most because of the huge gap left in their everyday lives.

His loving extended family: great-grandmother, Virginia Mawmaw Tissue; grandma, Evette Wigginton; Nana, Arlene Fields and Pop, Ervin Reeves; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins, Michele and Donny Bright and daughter Raevyn; Marc and Amanda Whitehouse, Zoe, Ivy, and Sam; Jenna Tesla, Emma, and Conrad; Matt and Kris Andrew, Josiah, Isabel, Noah, Alex, Luke and Elliott; Johnny and Rebecca Rodriguez, Carmen and Cora; Shawn and Ginny McGinty, Sam, Levi and Kit; Brian and Grace Shukwit, Emery, Charlie, Solomon, Wolf and Phoenix; Nick and Melody Newell, Asher and Jenson; Ethan and Hannah Fields, Aria and Harmony; Cody and Christa Goins, and Neil; Nathaniel and Becky Fields; Judy and Larry Day, Sommer, and Rita Breland; Chase and Stevie Day; Dustin and Melissa Kaiser, Emma and Ben; Michael and Alysha Reeves; and Matthew Reeves; all ache to hear his voice and see his smile again. Additional extended family, an innumerable host of loving friends from school, Discord, online gaming, and work, and church family are also deeply sorrowed by this unbelievable loss. One thing they all had in common is that they all meant so much to him and he meant just as much to them.

The family is comforted knowing Ivan was met with open arms by his savior Jesus Christ; grandparents, Loel and Bob Burt; Papa, Mel Fields; Pawpaw, Clyde Tissue; cousin, Harriet Andrew; and Gamme, LaVerne Fields.
