Scott White, age 68, of Marion, Illinois, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.
Beloved husband of Kathleen White nee Sheehy.
Loving father of Nicholas (Julie) White and Jacqueline (Chris) Brand.
Proud Papa of Scott, Sullivan, Franklin, and Maureen White and Tucker, Killian and Mullaney Brand.
Devoted brother of Hal (Ginny) White and Robbin (Jill) White, fond brother-in-law of Roger Sheehy, Karen Meehan, the late Tara Alois, and Annette (Gerry) Slattery.
Dearest uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Scott was born on September 19,1953 in Chicago, Illinois to Genevieve (Hensel) White. He attended Morgan Park High School and graduated from Columbia University. He married the love of his life and best friend, Kathleen, on September 8, 1979 and she survives. Scott was a proud Chicago Firefighter for over 25 years, retiring as a Lieutenant, was known as one of the best and most dedicated swim and water polo coaches on the southside of Chicago for over 40 years.
In retirement, Scott enjoyed working on his many cars, going for early morning drives, barbequing with his kids, cheering on his grandkids, and spending his days with his wife. Scott took pride in the family he and his wife made and his life revolved around them.
