My memories are numerous and unforgettable. Her religious faith was inspiring. When we spoke about health , even though she was in pain, she was concerned about my health and responded with my problems by "I will pray for you!" I will miss our religious conversations.
I spoke with my confessor Franciscian priest his response was "I believe she is in Heaven and when you have concerns you should talk to her " when I am dying I pray she will come for me!

Marion, I have many happy memories of your Mom. When we were about 10yrs old, my mom had a beautiful living room coffee table & end tables. They had a very pretty muted blue glass top. Lu & I were playing catch ended up running around the table. We fell into & cracked the glass. The truth came out & we were both grounded. One other time (about 12yrs old) we were told not to cut through Reams park on the way home from school. It was winter & icy in the park. Of course we didn't listen. We were sliding on the ice & Lu fell. I helped her hobble home & her leg was broken. I really felt so bad. But right after she broke it & was home my mom had Tommy. I was so jealous that she was home with the baby & able to hold him more than me I wasn't feeling so bad about her broken leg anymore because she taunted me every day saying she was holding Tommy. But of course we made up. I
also want to tell you about when she met your dad. She was so excited for me to meet him. He worked at the gas station in Mt. Oliver. We were 15. We met on Brownsville Road & walked down to the gas station. Your dad was working but he came to her & she introduced me. You could tell he really liked her. He was so good looking. It was like she wanted to show him off to me. The rest is history. Lu & I spent alot of time together growing up. We definitely were like sisters. We fought & made up. Then we were lucky enough to have our children close in age so they could grow up together. I loved her very much. We will meet again. Love Pat
I'll never forget what a wonderful seamstress your mother was. She altered my wedding dress that I borrowed from my cousin.
She was always so active and it had to be hard for her when she was diagnosed with MS. Lu never complained and was always cheerful. She was one of the strongest people I knew.
Now she's in a better place with the love of her life.
Love always Caryn
