My other mom ❤️

I have been incredibly blessed with decades of memories that rush my mind the second I hear “Linda”. It’s very rare for a child to have such a strong village throughout her most vulnerable years, and I had the best village around. I could go to Linda for anything - from teaching me how to swim to waking up scared in the middle of night, she would cuddle me until dad picked me up to teenage boyfriend troubles to family trips to Disney/FL/Chicago/Las Vegas the list goes on, to her grace of allowing Nikki & I to explore wildly on our quads and running in and out of her immaculate home 200 times in an hour to burying my head in her chest sobbing as she cradled me after I lost dad as she whispered words of empowerment in my ear to watching her love on my son like he was her own grandchild. When I think of Linda I simply think of “mom” and the only words that can tremble between my lips with a massive lump in my throat is “thank you for everything”. Thank you for loving me like your own child, nurturing me, washing my clothes, tickling my feet in the morning to wake me up to the BEST home made coffee cake or dinosaur egg oatmeal. Thank you for all the amazing memories of swimming and basically living at your home, thank you for making me feel like you were my home. You were an angel on earth, Linda Kay. We miss you so incredibly bad. I love you Mama Linda. Cheers to keeping your loving, fun 🏴‍☠️ spirit alive!

So many memories 💗

From crossing the “big” 4 lane highway to go back and fourth to eachothers houses, hours of barbies, swimming, sleep overs, karaoke parties , and everything in between. The memories will be with me forever . Now that nikki and i are moms ourselves, i hung out with her not to long ago after the dillsboro fair and we talked for hours about all the funny and sad moments and everything in between. The funniest had to be mom and i blissfully driving to school only to realize we yet again forgot nikki. She said she would watch us just drive away out of the window only to yell for her mom yet again so poor linda had to take her in her jammies. I could go on for days about this family . Linda always made me feel like i was welcome and loved. I would describe her as the purple bag of doritos , sweet and spicy, and i loved every second of her calm demener but you could tell she was not about to take your sh*t but would accept rides for nikki to go to school with us yet again for us to forget …again and again. I can only imagine you in heaven and going to Jimmy buffet concerts every evening💗 You were one of a kind and we love you. You are truley missed and i know in passing you had a chance to meet and cuddle Gunnar and personally hand him to his momma . Say hi to our loved ones in heaven for me! We will all see eachother again one day. 💗💗

Miss Linda❤️

Some of my favorite memories of Linda is at her pool where she always made me feel so welcome! She has always been such a bright light with her positive outlook on everything and warm smile❤️. I am proud to be part of the WAW’s “women against working” and had the best summers at her pool❤️. Love and miss her❤️

❤️

Linda was always so good to me. Welcomed me into their home, even when Nicole wasn’t there. It was so easy to be near her. You only met people like her once in a life time. Whether she knew it or not she was always a mother figure to me. I am so thankful to be a part of the family. From dinners, to me and Nicole staying out all night in our wild days, shopping trips, and remembering to always “drink a beer and drink a water”. ❤️
