Sweet Isabella, How lucky we were to know and love you for the short time that you were here on Earth. Although the winds have calmed and the waves have slowed throughout the years that have passed, the loss of you has changed our hearts fundamentally. We miss you throughout the chaos of daily life just as much as we miss you during the quiet times. We feel your presence on the nights where the color pink spreads across the evening sky and when a Monarch butterfly or dragonfly flutters past our heads when we least expect it on a summer day. We take quiet moments alone when walking through a store and finding a pink object out of place, pausing to say hello to you in our heads and thank you for visiting, hoping that you’ll do it again soon. We celebrate you loudly with each chance that we get, doing everything in our power to make sure our love reaches you in the sky. We know it does. We will miss you forever, like the stars miss the sun in the morning skies. We will save you a seat at every table, and continue to make sure that your name is spoken proudly with each chance that we get. We love you, we miss you, and we can’t wait to see you again. Beautiful Isabella , Happy heavenly birthday little one! I hope you always know how much we love you and miss you! Even though you are not with us here physically, you are always in our hearts. We talk about you proudly, share photos of you with our friends and celebrate you on your special day every year. I wear the locket that your mama gave me that holds a beautiful picture of you for every single holiday and every single family get together to make sure that you are always there with me. The memories I have of you, and the time that we shared together, although too short, always brings a smile to my face. How I loved holding you and looking at your beautiful face! I would stare at you for hours. I will always remember having you on my lap and singing itsy-bitsy spider to you while you smiled so beautifully at me. And the memory of Papa J dancing with you and singing the Bahia Principe song always makes me smile. I feel you with us all the time! I see you in a beautiful pink sky, in the dragonflies dancing around us, or in a monarch butterfly that magically appears in the strangest of places. these sightings and encounters always give me so much peace, and help me to know that you are always with us and watching over us. No matter how much time passes you will always be the light in our lives. please continue to show us signs that you are always with us, and continue to look over your mama. she will always love you with all of her heart, for all of her life.
