Zoey Covello McClain was a beloved member of the Nutley High School Class of 2021 whose life was tragically cut short on November 6, 2022. Zoey was known for her sassy, sarcastic, and quirky personality, balanced with deep compassion and love for her family and friends.
She had a passion for music, softball, and time spent with those she loved. Growing up near DeMuro Park, it became a special place often affectionately referred to as “Zoey’s Park.” Zoey’s bright spirit, unique style, and ability to bring laughter to others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Kindergarten best friends
We met as little girls in kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary School and grew up side by side ever since. From aftercare and birthday parties to matching outfits “twinning” in middle school, we shared countless memories. We graduated Nutley High School together, carrying years of friendship and laughter with us. She will always be remembered for the joy and friendship she brought into so many lives including mine.
