Life story

Cody Stephen Miller was a vibrant soul who brought light and laughter to everyone who knew him. Born in Decatur, Illinois, Cody lived a life full of passion, curiosity, and deep love for his family and friends.

A 2020 graduate of Mt. Zion High School, Cody was a proud member of the football team, playing all four years and creating lifelong bonds on and off the field. He was known for his strong spirit, his kind heart, and his willingness to stand by those he cared about.

Cody found joy in the simple and meaningful things—kayaking on a calm lake, the thrill of longboarding, getting lost in a good piece of art, and exploring the richness of history. He had a creative soul and a deep appreciation for the beauty in the world around him.

More than anything, Cody cherished time with his family. His presence was a gift, and his memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Turning Hearts exists in part to carry forward Cody’s legacy of love, connection, and wholehearted living.
