Gina Rae Lindhardt
Gina Rae Whitaker Lindhardt, age 43, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 7, 2006, due to an automobile accident. She was born August 7, 1963 in Stockton, California, to Dennis and Gerda Whitaker. She married Frank Lindhardt on February 18, 1983. Gina was raised in Southern Utah, attended Dixie High School and eventually Dixie College, where she met a handsome young man from Denmark named Frank Lindhardt. After three short weeks they knew they would be together forever and were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple three months later. In the next six years, five daughters were born, three of whom were born in Denmark, where they lived for four years. While there. Gina learned Danish fluently and fell in love with the country and its customs. She had her Masters degree in Herbology and loved to help people, no matter what their ailment, with her knowledge of herbs. In more recent year she had taken up horses as a hobby. She loved her horses and would spend all her spare time learning to ride, train, and breed them.
Gina genuinely loved her husband and loved to spoil him. We like to say that her passions were her 3 H's: Herbs, Horse and her Hubby, with her "Hildren and grand-Hildren" sharing a close spot next to her Hubby. She was an active member of the LDS church and because of her many talents, diligently served in many different callings therein. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and emulated his teachings in everything she did. In the short 43 years she graced us with her presence, Gina did more than most people do their entire lives. She lived in Denmark, Russia, and traveled all over Europe. She started several businesses, which still operate and serve our community, and much much more. Everyone who met this special woman fell in love with her. Gina was loving, happy, genuine, very charitable and extremely generous. She was our wife, our mother, our grandma Dori, our daughter, sister and friend. We will love her forever and miss her every minute of every day.
She is survived by her best friend and soul mate, Frank Lindhardt, of Hurricane; five daughters, Stephanie Lloyd, Stacie, Kristina, Kristel and Kimi Lindhardt, all of Hurricane; the son she never had, son-in-law, Adam Lloyd; two granddaughters, Emma and Hanna Lloyd, who will forever miss their Dori; her parents, Dennis and Gerda Whitaker, of Hurricane; sister Wenda (Jeff) Christensen, of Murray; brother, John (Janine) Whitaker, of Montana, Jimmy Whitaker, of Salt Lake City; and Tommy (Christy) Whitaker, of St George; and countless in-laws, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday evening, October 13, 2006 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 N Main, Hurricane.
