Donald Louis Tocci

Donald L. Tocci of Stoneham formerly of Everett; a man of unwavering integrity and patriotism, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 20, 2024 surrounded by his family at home. He was 77 years of age.

Donald proudly served his country; including two tours in Vietnam as a Navy SEAL. He received a Purple Heart and the Navy Commendation Medal for Valor. He was a Burlington High School teacher and a Hall of Fame swim coach. After retiring he was a proud owner of Burlington Scuba. Donald also volunteered for many organizations including the Rotary Club, the Burlington Chamber of Commerce, a devoted VFW member and past commander of Post 620 and the Navy SEAL Associations New England chapter. Donald made a lasting impact on all those who knew him.

Donald is the beloved husband of Bodil (Oftedahl) Tocci. He is the devoted father of Stephanie Cherenson and her husband Michael. Donald is the cherished grandfather of Ella Cherenson. He is the loving brother of Geraldine Carlin and her husband Daniel, JoAnn Desmond and the late Carl Paul Tocci. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
