Life story

Glen Van Beveren III, 29, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011. He was born June 12, 1982, in Las Vegas, to Glen and Marlene Van Beveren. Glen was a very inventive young man. He always wanted to know a little bit about everything. He loved being a heavy equipment operator for the mining industry and enjoyed that occupation for the past 12 years. He was extremely loving and always concerned for others. Glen had a love for dirt bikes, four-wheelers, the lake, snowboarding, jui-jitsu, cycling and reading. More than anything, he loved being with his nieces and nephews. Nothing made him happier! He always was and always will be loved by his three sisters and his dear parents. We will always remember that smile, laugh and huge hug! Glen is survived by his parents, Glen and Marlene Van Beveren; sisters, Mindy Davies (Dustin), Amy Robinson (Ryan) and Kimberly Van Beveren; three nieces; three nephews; two grandmothers, Marie Sanders and Sandra Meschnark; one grandfather, Glen Van Beveren Sr. (Joyce); and many family and friends. Viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at La Paloma Funeral Services 5250 Stephanie St. The family will be holding a private family funeral and burial in Utah.
