For most, when you think of Megan you can't help but think Boston Celtics at the same time. It was her passion. Besides Calvin, the Celtics were her life. But she was so much more than that. She was more than the woman who stalked Ryan Gomes to get him to sign her bobble head. She was more than the woman who gave me a 2-hour notice that we were about to drive to Boston not 1, but 2 days before the Celtics Championship Parade to make sure we could camp out at the perfect spot. She was more than the woman who never cooked, but somehow every year made a terrible tasting birthday cake and then made me sing "Happy Birthday" to Larry Bird..... Dec 7th, if you're curious.
She was a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin, a godmother, a dog mom, a friend, a protector, the Patty to my Selma, a safe space during chaos and uncertainty, a faithful blood donor, a balloon party planner, a crazy hug hugger, a saver of all bugs, she was thoughtful, sentimental and generous, down for any adventure life had to offer, beautiful both inside and out....and even with all that, she was still so much more. Megan was a blessing, and I am honored and so very grateful that God had it in his plans for her to be my sister and my friend.
Meg, who has covid: Other than the cold sweats, a fever & coughing up unicorns, I have no symptoms
Me: lol
Meg: The unicorns on the other hand don't look happy. Ever see an angry unicorn?
Me: I hear they are quite unpleasant, so I try to avoid angry unicorns
Meg: They talk like Steven Seagal
