Be inclusive, friendly, and courageous. Love each other. That's what it's all about.
Life story

Skylynn was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her, a beacon of kindness, selflessness, and love. She had an infectious energy that made everyone feel welcomed and included. Her friendly, silly, and excitable nature brightened every room she entered, and her animated spirit was impossible to ignore.

From a young age, Skylynn was known for her boundless curiosity and adventurous spirit. Growing up in a small mountain town, she spent countless hours exploring the world around her, seeking out salamanders beneath rocks, and dreaming of finding dragon eggs. Skylynn truly believed in the magic of the world, in the good and the wonderful, and she carried that belief with her throughout her life.

At the age of 20, Skylynn demonstrated immense courage by moving from her quiet mountain home to the bustling city, venturing into the unknown without knowing a single soul. She embraced her new life with the same joy and enthusiasm she brought to everything she did. Her heart was as big as her spirit, and she loved wholeheartedly, whether it was people, animals—even the slimy ones—or the simple wonders of life.

Skylynn’s legacy is one of warmth, compassion, and an unwavering belief in the beauty and magic of the world around her. She was a friend to all, a light in the darkest of times, and someone whose memory will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to know her.

Witchy Bitches

A Mountain Witch, Figure Skater, Novelist, and a rocking Biker Girl. Skylynn had ambitions and wasn't afraid to talk your ears off about any of it. She never sat still and was always working towards her next goal. Moving to Raleigh in 2023, she didn't have much lined up for herself, nor had any friends waiting for her as she left her dearest friends and family back in Boone, who were all rooting for her success, but that didn't stop her from forming her own Raleigh family. With such a kind and goofy soul, she wore it like an armband with pride and had people flocking to meet her. Not long after moving, she had a huge family of friends and support networks that she now leaves behind. In 2024, after hurricane Helene, she was the spear head that lead us into donating resources and our time to come and help her residents of Boone. A charitable figure to her community of whom we should all aspire to be day to day. To her family and friends in Boone, you already know this, you are welcome with open arms wherever we are and pray that you are kept in good graces and good health.

Kristina FicklingWe love you, too
Cameron HetzlerFor Kristina, you now have a bunch of adopted idiots in Raleigh that will always help you out if needed. And for Vincent, I can't imagine what it's like to lose an older sister who loved you so much but just know that you have brothers and sisters in Raleigh who are always here for you and your shenanigans.

Skylynn 🕊️

She had a big heart and wanted to figure out anyway to make a difference, I think back to this messaging convo we had after her hurricane Helene clean up and she wanted to start a few different ventures to give back. It’s something I always loved about her, that she just had this beyond her everyday work and friends thought process where no matter what she was going to make a difference and she always did. She put her all into hurricane helene and was truly a great smile and helping hand in anyway to be there for others ❤️
