Shirley Ann Thomas, born September 12, 1934 , in Rushville,Indiana to parents Donald and Katie Newman, she was the one of 12 children. Shirley passed on October 13,2024 in Hospice care in Jacksonville,Florida.
After spending her youth in Indiana, She arrived in Trinidad,Co. At the age of 15. She met and married Norman in 1951. During their marriage they welcomed eight children in a fourteen year span. Shirley was a devoted Wife. Mother, Grandmother ,and Nanny.Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life.She was a great example and center of her family and will forever be missed.
She was preceded in death by her Parents Donald and Katie Newman,Her devoted husband Norman Alvin Thomas ;Daughters Sandra Kay and Sharon Ann and 11 of her loving Siblings.
She was survived by her Childern Debra Lynn,Cynthia Lou, Kimberly Ann,John Charles,Laura Lee,Alice Kathryn 23 loving grandchildren,54 great grandchildren’s and 10 great- great grandchildren.
