My Papa

My papa was a simple, tough, stubborn man… to most people. But to his grandkids he was silly, encouraging, and loving. He always wanted us to do the best we could, and was our biggest supporter every step of the way. He was so proud of each one of us, and loved us each in our own way. Since losing my papa, I have had some major life events. I ran a half marathon, got married this past summer, and am now expecting my first child, which would have been papa’s first great grandchild. Although he is not with me earth-side, I can still feel his love and feel him proudly smiling down at me to this day. Losing him will always be one of the hardest things I’ve had to go through, but knowing that he is rejoicing with no more pain or suffering sure makes it easier. Papa was simply a selfless, good man. I sure loved him, and I can’t wait for the day we meet again. 🤍🪽
