Legends Never Die
Thomas Andrew Ellis 'Tommy', a lifelong resident of Brookhaven, PA, and Staple of the Penn-Delco Community, age 43, passed away on July 1, 2024 at Crozer Chester Hospital.
He was raised in Brookhaven, PA, and was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, class of 1999. Tommy was a self starter, working diligently with his family to build their company, Ellis Housing.
Tommy's true passion was being a mentor to the many students he coached in wrestling at his alma mater, Sun Valley. He not only served as the Sun Valley Wrestling Coach, but also as the President of the Aston Athletic Association. In both of these roles and also as his role as the co-founder of the Black Sheep Wrestling Club, Tommy coached thousands of kids in various sports and was a positive influence to many more. His was truly a pillar to his community and dedicated his life to the kids in the Penn-Delco School District. In addition to his passion for wrestling, Tommy enjoyed College Football and Golfing. He was a devoted Catholic and member of Our Lady of Charity Catholic Church in Brookhaven, PA.
Survivors: His beloved wife: Stephanie Ellis. Daughters: Angelina, Mia, and Lily. Parents: Ernest Ellis, Sr. (Brenda), and Jan O'Brien. Siblings: Ernie Ellis, Jr. (Kristie), Jan Bellace (Nuch) and Dominic Ellis (Marielle). Nieces and Nephews: Anthony, Gianna, Olivia, Annamarie, Buddy, and Laraine. Mother-in-law: Barbara Loughead. Brother-in-law: Richard Kearney. Tommy is also survived by John Griffin (Julia) whom he loved like a son, along with thousands of other friends who were like his family.
Visitation: Friday, July 5th, 2024 from 3:00pm-8:00pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA 19014. Visitation: Saturday, July 6th, 2024 from 9:30am-11:15am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland, Rd. Brookhaven, PA 19015. Funeral Mass: Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at 12:00pm at Our Lady of Charity.
Interment will be private.
