Stephen Anthony Cameron Jr.
Stephen lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Growing up, he cherished memories of playing with the family dog, Skippy, and exploring the backyard, where he spent countless hours playing with his best friend, Andrew.
One of his greatest joys was collecting model horses, which his dad would lovingly bring back for him from every business trip. He also loved the simple pleasures in life, like eating TV dinners (thanks to Aunt Grace's cooking!) and splashing around in the family's above-ground pool.
Family vacations were always a highlight, especially the cross-country road trip to Texas with Aunt Grace, and the summer trips to the Catskills, where he fondly remembered visiting Fort Ticonetderoga (though he never forgot the "stinky" fort!).
Stephen attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help grammar school and later moved to Willingwood, NJ, and then Queens, NY, where he attended high school. He finished his high school education in Bethel Park, PA.
After high school, Stephen attended Penn State University, where he majored in Business Administration. His time at Penn State had a lasting impact, inspiring his nephew, Stephen Sydorko to attend the university years later.
During his college years, Stephen was an active member of his fraternity, serving as their cook. After graduating, he went on to earn his Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
Stephen began his career as the Food Service Director at Victory Memorial Hospital, where he met his future wife, Mary. After a brief stint as the Food Service Director at Ithaca College, the couple married on January 18th, 1986.
Together, they built a life in South Plainfield, NJ, surrounded by their beloved dogs, Skippy and Pax. They welcomed their first child, Eileen, on December 1st, 1987, and their second child, Dorothy, on March 21st, 1989.
Throughout his life, Stephen faced challenges with courage and determination. He was a resilient and resourceful individual who always found a way to make the best of any situation. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones, who will remember his kind heart, his sense of adventure, and his love for those around him.
