Patricia E. Marin
"Seeing a cardinal is a sign that your loved ones or angels are near."
Born in Portland, Maine, and raised on Chebeague Island, Patricia, better known as Pat, Ma, Mom, Grandma, or Great-Grandma moved to Connecticut as a child. It was there, during her teenage years, that she met the love of her life, Ray. Together, they built a marriage that spanned 60 beautiful years—filled with love, devotion, and shared memories.
Her family was her world. She poured her heart into raising two daughters, who miss her more than words can express. Her home was a haven of love, laughter, and warmth, always alive with the energy of holidays, birthdays, and family gatherings where she reigned as the beloved matriarch. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching with joy and pride as they grew. Whether from the sidelines or in the thick of things, she was their biggest cheerleader, celebrating every milestone and achievement.
In her presence, you felt unconditional love and unwavering support. She nurtured not just her family, but the beauty around her—her gardens filled with vibrant perennials and the hum of hummingbirds that she so adored. Her favorite moments were spent on her porch, watching the tiny birds dance, as if nature itself was reflecting her own gentle spirit.
Her absence leaves an ache that cannot be filled, but her family feels her love in countless ways: a hummingbird’s visit, the bloom of a flower, a cherished memory that warms the heart. Though she has taken flight, her love endures—constant, reassuring, and close by.
Her legacy of love, strength, and family devotion lives on. She is missed beyond measure, and forever in our hearts.
