This picture was truly the epitome of what life was like with some of the cousins! One of my favorite pictures!

Take the Trip

We vacationed in the Outer Banks of North Carolina a few years back. The beauty in the area was overwhelming! It’s not a very touristy town… it’s a place to go to reflect and relax. This was much needed after all my family had been through. Seeing God’s beautiful creation and embracing the solitude it brought to my soul was much needed. My heart still breaks over our loss of Hunter Wilkes and Lexi Nolte Wilkes.… I thought of them everyday while taking in God’s scenery and wish they could experience what a beautiful place it is. Word of advice… take the trip! I know they are on the ultimate trip of their everlasting lives and I miss them so much! Not a single day passes without thinking of them. I wish Jett Ray could experience their earthly love. I do have faith knowing he knows how much they loved him in their short time they had with him! The pain is so unbearable sometimes, it’s tangible! They are so loved and touched so many lives! It makes me so proud to be their aunt! I vow to always keep their names and memory alive! I love you and miss you both terribly! I love you, more! Aunt Kristi
