Kenneth Davis
Thank you for your service
Kenneth served in the armed forces. We honor that service here.
Ken was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life touched many. He began his professional journey at Indiana Bell Telephone, where he devoted 33 years of service, transferring from Indiana to Olympia, Washington, and then to California. His commitment to his work and community was matched only by his dedication to his country.
A proud member of the Indiana National Guard, Ken retired after an impressive 47 years of military service, embodying honor and perseverance throughout his career. His contributions to the armed forces and his community were profound, and he was highly respected among his peers.
Ken was an active member of the Wheatland Lions Club and served as the Commander of the Wheatland American Legion, where he worked tirelessly to support veterans and local initiatives.
Ken is deeply mourned by his loving wife of 47 years, Sharon, and their four daughters: Sherry, Mary, Kimberly, and Robin. He was a devoted papa to ten grandchildren who shared in his passions and laughter.
Throughout his life, Ken enjoyed playing the French Horn, a talent he nurtured since high school, and continued to partake in music over the years. He was an avid reader, particularly of westerns, science fiction, and military history. His unique collection of comic books and foreign coins sparked joy and curiosity among his grandchildren, as he lovingly shared his interests with them.
Known for his quick wit and humor, Ken was famous for his blonde jokes and brought laughter to every gathering. He was a passionate fan of the Indy 500 and a devoted lover of Star Trek, often sharing his favorite episodes and moments with family and friends.
Ken is profoundly missed by his family, friends, and the entire community. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Your spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
