Debbie Lynn-Babin Lajauine
In Loving Memory of Debbie Lynn Babin Lajaunie
We gather to honor and celebrate the life of Debbie. This is something I never expected to do but I’m
honored to share this with you all. (Look over… I promise it quick will don’t fuss at me) She was a truly
remarkable person who touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a way of making everyone feel
special and loved, in my case “” MENTALLY SPECIAL””
On the evening of Wednesday, July 3rd our lady took her leave. The vibrant spirit of our beloved, Debbie
Lynn Babin Lajaunie, was unexpectedly called to her castle in the sky. At the age of 52 years, Debbie’s
departure left a lasting void in the hearts of those who knew her.
Debbie was Born to Donald and the late Dela Babin, the cherished granddaughter of her Granny &Gramp,
she a loving sister to Dawn Donnie and Ej. She was the endeared wife of Jerry Lajaunie, her high school
sweetheart. Who met during younger ages of 14 and together at 15. Their unwavering love blossomed
over 32 years of marriage, a testament to their lifelong commitment. She was the loving mother of Gage,
Ariel, Jade, and Alyssia, and a devoted grandmother and caregiver to her three grandchildren. She was
the family’s favorite.
Debbie was the matriarch of her family and friends, a beacon of dedication, friendship, and warmth that
radiated to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Debbie graced Brooke’s Sno-World with her
presence, not merely as an office secretary but they felt her as the life and soul of the workplace. Her
infectious spirit and boundless kindness made her one of the best friends one could ever hope for. She
will always be remembered as our beloved Twisted Sista, a title as unique and endearing as she was.
Debbie’s absence will be profoundly felt, but her spirit will live on in the stories we share and the love we
carry for her.
That is the truth, Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, at times she was the mother most of
didn’t know we needed. who of course always an answer even if you didn’t want to hear it, Her memory
will forever be a guiding star for us. As we navigate through our grief, we find solace in the countless
memories that Debbie gifted us—memories that will be cherished eternally. Debbie was the life of any
party, a spark of happiness in everyday encounters, a friend who could turn a simple meeting up with her
at the store into a moment filled with laughter and joy.
We pray for strength for her family and all who loved her as we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable
Woman. While words fall short of capturing the full extent of our sorrow, the legacy she leaves behind is
one of love, laughter, and the pure joy of living.
Final words -Don’t cry because I’m gone ….Smile Because I lived, and that she did an will continue
through us all.
On behalf of Jerry, the kids, and the entire family, we thank you all for being here today
