Parnell Matthew Green

Parnell Matthew was the third child, second son, born to Parnell Erick and Tiffany. Parnell Matthew was the fourth generation to be given the name Parnell which began with his great-great grandfather. Typically the first born son would be given the family name, but Parnell Matthew was grateful that he was given the name Parnell. He had told his mother he liked his name because it sounded like a cowboy name. Parnell was given his middle name Matthew after his uncle.

Parnell has three brothers and one sister who he had close relationships with. Ohhhh the stories they can tell and the shenanigans they got into!

Parnell had plans to join the marines when he turned eighteen. He had already taken the test. The night before he left this world he received a shirt and a letter from the marines letting him know they would be contacting him when he became of age. Parnell was so proud of that shirt! He wore the shirt running with his mom that evening as he told her of his dreams.

Parnell left this world the next day, two months before his seventeenth birthday.

I don’t believe Parnell left this world intentionally. He had dreams left unfulfilled. Life still left to live…

Parnell is buried near his great grandpa Mitchell and grandpa Russell who all had a love for fishing. If there is fishing in heaven, I’m sure they are all sitting by a lake with their fishing poles waiting on us.
