Robert Milner Lister
"De Oppresso Liber" is a Latin phrase that translates to "to free from oppression" or "to liberate the oppressed." It is the motto of the United States Army Special Forces, symbolizing their mission to assist those who are oppressed and to promote freedom. The phrase combines "De," meaning "from," "Oppresso," the past participle of "opprimere" (to oppress), and "Liber," meaning "free".
