Miss you!
Thank you for always being my second mom! ❤️
Paula loved to travel. Please help us keep her memory alive by taking her pin on your travels and posting pics to her tribute page. 💜
Born on February 22, 1956, Paula was a lifelong resident of Tiverton and attended Holy Ghost primary school before graduating from Tiverton High School in 1973. Paula worked at both Truesdale and St. Anne’s Hospitals as well as The Pizza Corner before leaving to raise her 3 children. She also served as a teacher’s aide at Pocasset School.
In 1976 she married the love of her life Gary and shared 47 years of devoted marriage. She recently retired from Aquidneck Pools & Spas in Portsmouth, a company she and Gary founded based on Paula’s vision, and grew with the support of their kids, relatives, and friends over the past 30 years.
Paula loved gardening and crocheting, creating various items for loved ones, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed regular trips to their vacation home on the shores of Daytona Beach where she would spend several months at a time relaxing. As an avid cruiser, Paula traveled on over 25 cruises with Gary to destinations all over the Caribbean. She also enjoyed weekend excursions with friends on her boat to Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard, Cuttyhunk, and Newport.
One of Paula’s greatest joys in life was being a Babci (grandmother). She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Whether baking her special “Babci Muffins” and other treats, sharing stories, spending time in her pool, or simply offering hugs and kisses. She reveled in the love and joy they brought into her life.
Paula is predeceased by her parents, the late Francis Roach and the late Catherine (Janczura) Roach, and her sister the late Mary Cecelia (Missy) Roach.
Paula is survived by her husband Gary, children Alison (Vital) Gomes (husband Andrew), Andrew Vital (wife Meaghan), and Nick Vital, and her grandchildren: Liam, Aidan, Isla, Benjamin, Oliver, and Gracie. She is also survived by her sisters Beverly Roach and Patricia (Roach) Livernois and many nieces and nephews.
We design every page from Paula’s 39 photos. Make it yours, then order a copy for everyone who loved Paula.
