IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW If you could see me now, you wouldn't shed a tear. Though you may not understand why I'm no longer here. Remember my spirit, that's the real me. I'm still very much alive, oh, if you could only see! I've beheld our Father's face. I've touched my Savior's hand. The angels all rejoiced as I entered the Promised Land. Beyond the gates of pearl, I walk on golden streets. I've touched the walls of jasper, dipped my foot in the crystal sea. The beauty is beyond words, nothing can compare. I've even seen your mansion; someday I will meet you there. Allow Jesus to be your guide, His word will show you the way. So, please, don't cry! We will meet again someday! By Patsy Stambaugh Deskins
Carl, Jake, Doc, CJ are just a few of his nicknames and right up there with the title of Dad, we think his favorite was Gramp. Everyone called him Gramp. Whether they knew him for a moment or for a lifetime. The name Gramp just stuck with him.
He was born on December 24,1930 oh what a gift he was to everyone who knew him. He has now joined his Mother (Alvie), Father(Phillip), his three brothers Jimmy, Bill, Bobby and many others who passed before him. Carl is survived by his sister Gladys, his daughters, Angel (Buddy), Deborah (Tom), Penny, Carolyn (Jimmy) and Janice. His sons Phil (Janice), Danny, Jackie (Ashley). As well as 18 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren and an abundance of other family.
He was the happiest, most caring man you would ever meet. He had a lot of trials through life but you would never know because his faith in God helped him get through those times. Later in life he dealt greatly with Parkinson's disease and although changed his life entirely he still kept his faith and kept pushing along. November 10,2023 was the hardest day in our entire lives with the passing of this great man but also the best day for him to finally be set free and in the arms of Jesus.
