To our Nana and Mimi
There are so many memories I can think of to share. Some of my earliest ones are you making Cody and I a plate of peanut butter crackers, him and I spending new years at your house, the real pearl you got me that I had to take out of a clam, pretending to play bank on the buttons of your Nissan, and the Disneyland trip we went on. You were the very best Nana. The VERY BEST. I remember once when I was having my cheer photos taken I was maybe 9, I had forgotten my shoes. I used a coaches phone to call everyone to see if they could go get my shoes. No one was willing to but you and papa went all the way to my house and then to the field I was at to bring them to me. It is such a small random memory but for a child that struggled a lot with feeling like they mattered it meant the world to me. You did things like that. Things that made someone feel so incredibly loved when they needed it the most. You always made sure your family knew we were your priority. You taught me how important it is to show up for others because it matters and to not take your family for granted. My whole life so far you have listened to me, loved me, made me feel like I was important, like I was loved. You loved my kids so much and you were their very favorite person in the entire world. You left such a big hole in our lives when you left. I miss the near daily phone conversations, me calling you after the grocery store to tell you what Trader Joe’s had, the random weekend visits where you just popped in to hang out, the 6 am birthday serenades, the open ears and heart you had for us, the play by play of Virgin River or the football games, your humor, your humor, your singing, baking day with you hovering over me while I messed up the 3rd batch of peanut brittle and so much more. There is so much of my life that feels empty without you because you loved so big and made sure we all knew it. We love you Nana and you truly will forever be in our hearts.
