Look!

A story from my dad, Jim Dubinski - Diane, Joan, Art and I would go to Port Edward Restaurant in Algonquin for dinner occasionally back in the day. One night when we were there, Art and I had to use the restroom before we left. As we're standing next to each other at the urinals, Art jumps back. I said: What's wrong? Art replied: Look! Look! I looked and noticed there's a lobster moving around in the urinal and it was reaching out toward us. I said: Holy shit! Art stood back a little and continued to piss on it. After Art finished, he stands back and a guy walks in with a trench coat on. He says: Oh, baby, baby, there you are! He goes and reaches in and picks up the lobster by his head and tucks it underneath his coat, turns around and walks out with it. Art and I laughed hysterically.

“What happened to the steak?”

A funny memory I will always have: Joan was nice enough to let me lounge around her house with Linc which meant we were usually grilling something along the way on any given day. One of those days, we decided to buy a huge sirloin steak and let it sit in a marinade for a while on a plate in the fridge. After doing our best to not pay attention to it we finally decided to check on our future meal. We’re open the fridge and notice that a good size chunk has just been carved right outta there. Sure enough, we find out Art came home, saw the steak in the fridge, and just dove right in! He wasn’t bothered at all when we told him that we still needed to cook it and the rest of us were just laughing our butts off. A very funny moment with a super welcoming family.
