memories

I was the oldest granddaughter of Clarence and Evaline Abram (my mom’s parents) and I used to spend summers at their house for as long as I can remember. Their youngest daughter, Kathleen, was only 6 years older than me so I used to hang out with her a lot and she was very good to me. I loved my Grandma, she was also very good to me. My Grandpa Abe was always there, but I never really interacted with him much. I do remember saying that he would always yell at me to eat my vegetables but never “when I was first new there” I was safe for about a week! hahaha. After my Grandma died = all of a sudden my Grandpa didn’t have his middleman anymore, so he had to start paying attention to all of his children and grandchildren(there were a LOT of them!!) and interacting with all of us. He became more outgoing and friendly and we all enjoyed hearing his stories and being around him. Everyone loved going to his house and he lived there by himself until he was 99. He died in the hospital and two of his sons, one grandchild(me), One great-grandchild(my daughter) and one great, great grandchild (my daughter was pregnant at the time) were all around his bed. So, 5 generations were represented.
