William Doyle Gray
William Doyle Gray, known to those close to him as William, was born on October 15, 1992, in Orange Park, Florida, to Wayne Gray and Christi Monroe. He grew up in Florida and later made his home in Athens, Tennessee.
On April 2, 2016, William married the love of his life, Janie Higginbotham, in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Together they raised two sons, Emmett and Noah. His deep love and devotion to his wife and boys is what he will be remembered for most. They meant the world to him.
William was truly a "jack of all trades." He could fix anything with a motor and build whatever he set his mind to. He found joy in fishing, cooking and working with his hands, but above all he cherished the time he spent with his family.
William passed away at his home in Athens, Tennessee, on June 6, 2026, at the age of 33. He is survived by his wife, Janie; his sons, Emmett and Noah; his father, Wayne; his brother, Marvin; his sisters, Meleini and Summer; and four nephews. Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life on July 5, 2026, at the Lake Asbury Community Center in Green Cove Springs, Florida.
