Ryan Michael Ashenfelder
And with great love, comes great pain. And with great loss, comes the greatest pain of all. If love could’ve saved you, you would’ve lived forever”
Ryan Michael Ashenfelder
June 2, 1989 – June 7, 2023
Born on June 2, 1989, Ryan was the beloved son of Rena Christofas and Keith Ashenfelder, and a cherished brother to Christopher, Lauren, Alyssa, Alexandra, Destiny, and Kasey. He was a devoted uncle to Raeleigh, Sophia, Melody, Olivia, and Nolan, whose lives were brightened by his love and laughter.
Ryan was a proud graduate of Tennent High School, Class of 2007. He pursued his passion for learning at Temple University, where he earned a dual Bachelors of Science degree in biology and anthropology. Driven and ambitious, he continued his education to receive a Master of Business Administration. During his college years, Ryan not only excelled academically but also cultivated deep friendships that became family, and he even became fluent in Arabic—a testament to his curiosity and dedication.
A true citizen of the world, Ryan’s love for travel took him across the United States in his youth and later to Germany, Hawaii, Egypt, and Algeria. Yet, more than any destination, Ryan treasured the people in his life. His family and friends were the center of his world, and he gave himself freely and generously. He was kind, selfless, and deeply caring—qualities that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Ryan’s warmth, intellect, and gentle spirit will be missed beyond measure. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to love him.
