Charlee Marie Engelken
Can I have just 5 more minutes
Charlee was born with a love for life and all animals, which she made evident by rescuing every single animal she felt needed her. She raised kittens, puppies, bunnies, and even two baby robins that fell out of the tree!
Once she started talking, she never stopped. She could carry on a conversation with anyone of any age. Once she knew you, you were a friend for life!
She grew into a beautiful young lady with long blonde hair and amazing green eyes with a small freckle on her right eye. She had the biggest smile!! Her laughter was something that everyone could recognize from a block away, and she loved to have a good time.
She would spend every minute she could outdoors, whether she was playing softball or spending the day on her 4-wheeler exploring the woods behind the house. She would end up at the creek fishing for tiny chubs or trying to catch crawdads.
For several years, if she wasn’t outside getting dirty, she was planning for her next beauty pageant! She would refuse to practice her routine even though her mom would pay for a professional to come up with a routine, music, and costume. If you think there was no way she could win if she didn’t practice, you would be wrong! Always winning high positions in the pageant, the beauty she had inside was so bright it just radiated from her body, and she didn’t need practice, just being herself!!
Her family and friends were very important to her. She loved having friends over, and she did so almost every day! You could hear the sound of the kids laughing and whispering at all hours of the night, genuinely just enjoying being kids!
Unfortunately, she was only able to share her love with the world for 13 short years. The loss of Charlee is devastating to so many people. She is very much loved!
Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, laughter, and love for all living creatures. Charlee will always be remembered as a bright light in this world, a true angel who brought joy and happiness wherever she went. Rest in peace, sweet Charlee. Your spirit will never be forgotten.
