Becky Sue Wilson
We loved once, and love you still. Always have. Always will.
Becky Sue Wilson (Whorley) age 59, of Midlothian, was set free from her battle with cancer on Saturday, June 7, 2014. She is survived by her husband, William (Tommy) Wilson; daughter, Krystina Wilson; "adopted" daughter, Ashley Chapman; sister, Audrey Stanley; and brother, Steve Milton. Mrs. Wilson was a special needs bus driver for Chesterfield County for 32 years. She was also a certified Medical Assistant. A member of the Civil Air Patrol, an auxiliary part of the U.S. Air Force. She was a pround flag waving American and would often cry when the national anthem was sung. A lover of Bald Eagles.
Becky was a very loving person and would give anyone the shirt off her back. Her sense of humor was like no other and would often leave everyone grasping for their sides. Family and friends never knew what she was going say. She fought her battle with cancer with the determination and never let it get the best of her. The nurses at Virginia Cancer Institute never had a dull moment when she was in office getting chemotherapy. She lived her life moment by moment and never took a day for granted and believed that laughter was the best medicine. She gave the best hugs and had a warm smile for everyone. Avid animal lover and at one time owned 5 rabbits, 2 hamsters, 3 cats, and 2 dogs, and never let a stray cat leave without a full belly. She loved to garden and her rose garden was her pride and joy. She loved getting her hands in the dirt and watching her garden flourish. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, baking for the holidays, doing cross stitch, and scrap booking. She loved music all through out her life, singing in the high school choir, playing the Saxophone and Organ. She would often be caught singing either "The Hills are Alive With the Sound of Music" from the movie Sound of Music or "Oklahoma" from from the movie Oklahoma. Mrs. Wilson was also never seen with out a book in her hand, if she didnt have her nose in a book, magazine or newspaper, in her down time, something was wrong.
