Clinton McCoy Kirk
“Have a day”
Clint best known as Buzz was a smart and funny young man. From the time he started school he'd ask me if the bills were paid and if I used dollars or paper. He was a loving big brother and always wanted to play with Randi whom he called Vinny- thing was she was a loner and like to play by herself so spent a lot of time hiding in her closet. Buzz and Randi always had a different view of money~ Randi thought if she had lots of coins she was rich Buzz knew the value of a dollar; so, he'd always trade her 5 nickels or 10 pennies for a dollar bill and she was now rich because now she had more than one. Buzz had lots of friends throughout school and his favorite go to cousin was always Christian since they were only 5 months apart. Christian and Buzz could often be found outside under the stars smoking a cigar swapping stories. Buzz loved go carts- (which Randi knows from experience since her wrist still suffers the pain of being ran over when he flung her over the edge at a young age), he loved four wheelers, and Pops mule. Buzz had his tonsils out in 2nd grade but continued to never miss a day of school. I remember the time he and I stopped on a country road on the way to a middle school dance so I could teach him slow dances. Buzz played basketball, baseball, football, and ran track~ he enjoyed sports. He tore his acl in high school basketball and had to have surgery, later in football he broke his collar bone. Buzz went to ATI after high school to be a personal trainer on a full ride scholarship. He got his first career at 24 fitness and loved it- his true passion was changing other's lives, seeing them achieve their goals, lose weight, get healthy. Next Buzz became a hot shot delivering air conditioners to different States and enjoyed the drives and seeing the country. Later he became a server mostly at Buffalo Wild Wings~ this was another way of serving people. He loved this kind of job, of course there were those annoying guests but mostly he enjoyed service. I believe his act of love was always service. He enjoyed sitting and talking with his guests, getting to know them, seeing their needs, and being of service to them. We all remember when he worked at Amazon and walked so many miles in one shift that his legs were so sore when he went on vacation he was sitting with ice packs! At some point he must have gone to medical school because every time he got a sinus infection his self diagnosis was the virus of the year. He had the swine flu, bird flu, sars, bubonic plague, malaria. Until 2020 when he really got a pretty bad round of Covid.
Buzz was an emotional, sentimental, romantic~ you never got a card or letter from him that didn't have his own handwritten feelings inside, he loved to give flowers, he wore his heart on his sleeve and wasn't afraid to let it show. Buzz was always a great listener ~ he use to say the greatest gift you can give someone is time. He felt people weren't really listening if they were planning their response and he truly took his time to listen. He was also known for his very contagious smile~ oh my!! That boy could smile. If he saw a camera pointed his way he'd show off those 'pearly whites'.
Buzz knew his Lord, was baptized at a young age and again after ATI tech school. He loved Vacation Bible School growing up and Psalms was his favorite book in the Bible. He attended many Churches but his favorite was always Church of Christ in Colleyville, Tx
Buzz loved mocha almond fudge Blue Bell icecream, cotton candy blizzards from Dairy Queen, hamburger steaks from Saltgrass, Randi's meatballs, mac/cheese, mashed potatoes, and crescent roll meals. His favorite dessert was peanut butter buckeyes and Nan's 22 minute chocolate cake. He loved cold weather and hated summers. His favorite color was lime green, his favorite movies were The Christmas Story and Casino, and his favorite actor was Gerard Butler. From a young age Buzz enjoyed traveling and by the time he graduated high school he had seen all 50 States and a couple other Countries. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and getting tattoos. He always said his tattoos had to have meaning and each one of his did just that. He was a true history buff~ loved studying outer space, galaxy, stars, federal reserve, chem trails, wars, 'blue coats', weather, and how things worked. He loved sunsets and full moons. He enjoyed watching true crime shows, mystery, and of course ghost adventures, and Spongebob, with Randi. He taught himself how to drive a standard truck and pull a trailer. Buzz was a very ambitious driven guy- he set goals and worked his butt off to achieve them. He was hard on his self but always encouraging to others. He loved pure and honestly. He loved roman numerals, aztec, pyramids, trojan war. He loved speaking in Spanish and bridging that communication gap that annoys so many of us. He was the translator at several of his jobs and found it satisfying to be able to bring people together. Buzz was a leader, an achiever. If he could dream it; he could accomplish it. Life was hard and there were times he was weak and tired but with love and support he kept pushing and achieving.
In Jan 2019 Buzz brought Kaitlyn Crow into our lives~ little did we know she'd be our lifetime friend, sister, daughter, and link to Buzz. To this day we are still making and sharing memories with the one who shared and loved our Buzz as we do!
In a world where heros come and go~ God just took the only one I know.
